Hair, Pritchett and LePage honored by football coaches association

The Blair Oaks Falcons rolled through the football postseason.

They were rewarded with multiple honors by the Missouri Football Coaches Association.

Blair Oaks swept the three individual awards and had 10 players total named to the Class 2 All-State team as selected by the association.

Nolan Hair was named the Class 2 Offensive Player of the Year. The senior quarterback completed 175-of-241 passes (72.6 percent) for 3,714 yards this season. Hair threw 48 touchdown passes with no interceptions. He also ran for 637 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Braydan Pritchett was selected as the Class 2 Defensive Player of the Year. The senior defensive back had 125 total tackles this season, including 62 solo stops, to go along with eight tackles for loss. Pritchett had three interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.

LePage led the Falcons to a 15-0 record this season. The Falcons outscored their opponents 798-128 this season, an average of 53.2-8.5. Starting with district play, Blair Oaks outscored the opposition 346-35, an average of 58-6.

Hair and Pritchett were joined by eight other Falcons on the all-state team.

Ben Thomas at wide receiver and lineman Corban Bonnett joined Hair on the first-team offense, while wide receiver Marcus Edler and lineman Andrew Luebbering were second-team picks.

On defense, lineman Nolan Atnip and linebacker Sam Luebbering were first-team picks along with Pritchett. Second-team selections on defense for the Falcons were Rylee Niekamp on the line and Carson Prenger in the secondary.

The Helias Crusaders had two players selected to the Class 4 team.

Vito Calvaruso, a junior, was named as the first-team kicker. Jim Donovan, a senior, was selected to the second team on the offensive line.

The Versailles Tigers had two players picked to the Class 2 third-team.

Coby Williams, a junior quarterback, was named as an athlete on offense, while senior Michael Trotter was picked at linebacker.

South Callaway senior Peyton Leeper was a first-team pick on defense in Class 2 in the secondary.

Three area players were selected to the Class 3 third team.

Eldon senior Jakob Krantz was  picked on the offensive line while teammate Dawson Brandt was seleted in the secondary. School of the Osage senior Dalton Depeé also was picked in the seondary.
