KNOB NOSTER, Mo. - The Blair Oaks boys and girls track and field teams each finished in the top five in the team standings Tuesday at the Knob Noster Invitational.
The Lady Falcons recorded four event wins, placing fourth as a team with 75 points. Holden won the team title with 115 points, followed by Knob Noster with 111.5 points. Odessa took third with 99 points.
The Falcons recorded five top-three finishes, garnering 77 points to place fifth. Clinton was first with 119.3 points, followed by Odessa (105.5), Knob Noster (85.5) and Crest Ridge (83.5).
Blair Oaks swept the 4x800-meter relay titles. Kyler Griep, Josh Malone, Adam McCauley and Cole Brenneke clocked a time of 8:33.20 to win the boys race, while Grace Scott, Kayla Jones, Natalie Heckman and Emily Yaeger finished in 10:11.17 to win the girls 4x800.
The Lady Falcons also won the 4x400-meter relay, with Jones, Heckman, Yaeger and Emily Sporleder posting a winning time of 4:13.27.
Scott and Yaeger were triple-winners for the Lady Falcons, with each picking up an individual title. Scott won the 1,600-meter run in 5:40.33 and Yaeger placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.07.
The Blair Oaks boys had three runner-up finishes at Tuesday's meet. The Falcons placed second in the 4x400, run by McCauley, Griep, Marcus Edler and Brenneke.
Edler also took second in the 300-meter hurdles and Brenneke was second in the 800, followed by McCauley in third place.
The Lady Falcons had a pair of third-place finishes, with Kati Schoeneberg in the 1,600 and Jones in the 400-meter dash.
