OWENSVILLE - St. James won the boys team title with 109 points with Rolla finishing runner-up at 103 and Owensville third with 91 points in the Owensville Invitational on Friday.
Fatima placed fourth with 64 points, Eldon fifth at 66, School of the Osage sixth at 54, Blair Oaks seventh at 52, South Callaway eighth at 45.5 and New Bloomfield was 13th at 15.
Blair Oaks had a pair of throwing champions. Tucker Downing won the discus and Josh Henson was first in the javelin. Also in the discus was Josh Haxton, who placed third for the Falcons.
In the 800-meter run, Adam McCauley placed third for Blair Oaks.
Dalton Luebbert was a winner for Fatima, placing first in the 3,200-meter run. Gavin Ownbey won the high jump and the Comets were first in the 4x800-meter relay.
Eugene Hagenhoff placed second in the 400-meter dash and Seamus McCarthy was third in the 1,600-meter run for Fatima.
On the girls side, the Eldon Lady Mustangs topped 15 other teams to take the title.
Eldon finished with 118.5 points. Macie Halderman of the Lady Mustangs was a double-winner, taking first in the long and triple jumps, while Hailey Clifton won the shot put. Eldon also won the 4x100-meter relay.
Cecilia Verslues from School of the Osage also won two events - the 100- and 200-meter dashes. The Lady Indians were fourth as a team with 74.5 points.
Blair Oaks, which got event wins from Annette Peterson in the discus as well as in the 4x800-meter relay, was fifth with 67.75.
Fatima finished sixth as a team with 62 points.
Adrian Mann of South Callaway, which was seventh with 37.75 points, won the 300-meter hurdles. Delaney Horstman of the Lady Bulldogs won the pole vault.
