Prep Baseball: California 9, St. Elizabeth 8

CALIFORNIA - The California Pintos scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off with a 9-8 win Friday against the St. Elizabeth Hornets.

Dakota Kemna pitched six strong innings for the Hornets, allowing three runs on three hits with one walk and eight strikeouts.

Aaron Blomberg took the loss, allowing six runs - all unearned - on three hits with two walks in the seventh inning.

Nolan Heckemeyer led the St. Elizabeth hitting attack, going 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI. Ross Struemph was 2-for-3 with a walk, while Blomberg and Kemna each had one hit and one RBI.

St. Elizabeth (1-2), ranked No. 5 in Class 1, hosts South Callaway on Monday in Show-Me Conference play.
