Girls Golf: Blair Oaks finishes fourth in first district tourney

MARSHFIELD, Mo. - All five Blair Oaks Lady Falcons will continue their season at least one more week after finishing in the top 25 on Monday at the Class 1 District 3 Tournament at Whispering Oaks Golf Course.

The Lady Falcons took fourth place in their first district tournament with a 396, but all five golfers finished in the top 15 excluding the golfers on sectional-qualifying teams to advance to next Monday's sectional round at Frank E. Peters Golf Course in Nevada.

Halie Rackers and Paige Luebbering each finished in the top 15 to receive all-district honors. Rackers tied for seventh place with a 21-over 91, while Luebbering tied for 10th with a 93.

Ashley Fifer shot a 105 to finish 19th, while Claire Smith tied for 20th with a 107. Elliott Hull also advanced with a 109 to finish in a four-way tie for 23rd place.

School of the Osage finished fifth in the team standings with a 426 and will send four golfers to sectionals.

Emily Maher was all-district to lead the Lady Indians, tying for 14th place with a 99. Greta Crooks, Destiny Drake and Sydney Riley each shot a 109 to tie for 23rd place.

Logan-Rogersville won the district team championship with a 361, followed by Springfield Catholic with a 367 and Strafford with a 371. Kayla Pfitzner of Springfield Catholic won the district individual title with an 8-over 78.
