Prep Softball: Blair Oaks starts tourney 1-1

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Blair Oaks softball's winning streak was snapped by Francis Howell Friday night after 19 consecutive wins.

Playing in the Kewpie Classic, Meredith Eisterhold's complete game against Southern Boone allowed the Lady Eagles to reach the 19-win mark. Eisterhold allowed three hits and struck out two in five innings of work as Blair Oaks won 14-0.

Cameron Dulle had three hits and four RBI, Torie Thurston added three hits and an RBI and Ellie Kliethermes added three hits as Blair Oaks racked up 19 total in its first game Friday. Hannah Schroeder's two hits and three RBI and Makenna Kliethermes' two hits and two RBI added to the run total, and Brooke Boessen and Kayla Jones chipped in two hits.

The bats were quieter for the second game, a 12-1 loss to Francis Howell in five innings. Makenna Kliethermes had two hits and Torie Thurston added another as the Lady Falcons managed just three hits. Freshman Alexis Findley was tagged for 11 hits and four walks while striking out three in the loss.
