Girls Basketball: Chamois 54, Vienna 25

VIENNA, Mo. - The Chamois Lady Pirates dominated the first and third quarters Monday en route to a 54-25 season-opening win against the Vienna Lady Eagles.

Chamois took a 13-3 lead after one quarter and pushed its advantage to 30-16 by halftime. The Lady Pirates outscored the Lady Eagles 16-2 in third quarter to extend their lead to 46-18.

Katie Keilholz had a game-high 15 points to lead Chamois, while MaKenna Wuelling finished with 14 points. Haley Skaggs also reached double figures with 12 points.

Kendra Iven had a team-high eight points for Vienna.

Both Chamois (1-0) and Vienna (0-1) play next in the Tipton Tournament next Monday. The Lady Pirates will face Smithton in the first round, while the Lady Eagles will play Russellville.
