FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. - Three Jefferson City Jays have advanced to sectionals after their performances Tuesday in the Class 4 District 5 Tournament.
Nathan Erickson led the Jays with a 4-over 76, good for a tie for fifth at Piney Valley Golf Course. The top-25 qualified for sectionals.
Brett Trowbridge shot a 7-over 79 to tie for 10th, while Austin Siebeneck tied for 17th with an 11-over 83.
The three Jays qualifiers will play Monday at Hoots Hollow Golf Course in Harrisonville.
Burke Craighead narrowly missed advancing, shooting a 91 to tie for 30th. The cutoff was 88. Michael Davidson placed 33rd with a 93.
Lebanon won the team title with a 301. Glendale (302) was second and the Jays finished third with a 329.
Cooper Hess of Lebanon shot 2-under to take the individual title by three strokes.
