HALLSVILLE - The Fatima Comets picked up an 8-4 win on the road Monday against the Hallsville Indians.
Jonathon Backes got the win for the Comets. He pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed two runs (none earned) on seven hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
Austin Wegman pitched the last 2 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on two hits and struck out one.
Skyler Dickneite led the Fatima hitting attack with three doubles and four RBI. Steven Brandt finished with three hits and one RBI and Jacob Crede also collected three hits.
Fatima (2-1) will host Helias today.
