Boys Basketball: William Chrisman 60, Jays 47

JOPLIN, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays finished the Kaminsky Classic with a 1-2 record following Saturday's 60-47 loss to the William Chrisman Bears.

William Chrisman got out to a 21-16 lead after the first quarter. The Bears' lead reached 35-25 by halftime with the help of Kelvyn Mason's 3-pointer at the buzzer to cap a 10-2 run. The Bears had a 46-32 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Garrett Parker led the Jays with 14 points. Hudson Nilges made three 3s on his way to 11 points.

Mason made four 3s on his way to a game-high 16 points for William Chrisman.

Jefferson City (5-7) returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Waynesville.
