Helias girls end season with district semifinal loss

LAKE OZARK, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders dropped a 61-49 decision Monday to the Eldon Lady Mustangs in the semifinals of the Class 4 District 11 Tournament.

Helias, the No. 4 seed, led top-seeded Eldon 11-8 after one quarter and 24-21 at the half. Eldon took a 38-37 lead into the final period and outscored Helias 23-12 to pick up the victory.

Lauren Alexander had 13 points to lead Helias, while Ashley Rehagen added 12. Ellie Rockers pulled down 10 rebounds for the Lady Crusaders.

Macie Halderman scored a game-high 22 points and finished with 14 rebounds for Eldon (20-5). Brooklyn Bledsoe added 17 points, while Taylor Pehle chipped in with 12 points.

Helias ends its season at 10-17.

Eldon will face School of the Osage in the title game at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Osage, the No. 2 seed, topped Owensville 66-51 in Monday's second semifinal.
