Girls Basketball: Chamois 49, New Bloomfield 43

CHAMOIS - The Chamois Lady Pirates avenged their loss earlier this season to the New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats, picking up a 49-43 win Thursday in Show-Me Conference play.

New Bloomfield, ranked No. 7 in Class 2, had its six-game win streak snapped with the loss. New Bloomfield had defeated Chamois 44-38 earlier this season in the semifinals of the Tipton Tournament.

The Lady Wildcats led 12-5 after one quarter, but the Lady Pirates cut the lead to 22-21 at halftime and tied the game at 34 entering the fourth quarter.

Chamois had three players score in double figures, led by 15 points from Haley Skaggs. Claire Brandt added 14 points and Katie Keilholz chipped in 13.

Chamois (6-1) hosts Fatima on Monday. New Bloomfield (6-2) faces Jamestown at 10 am. Saturday in the Capital City Shootout at Fleming Fieldhouse.
