Prep Track: Blair Oaks JV at Centralia

CENTRALIA, Mo. - The Blair Oaks JV girls finished sixth out of 10 teams with 43 points Thursday at the Centralia 9-10 meet, while the boys finished ninth with 21 points.

Kayla Jones had the lone event win of the meet for the Lady Falcons, finishing first in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:04.82. She also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in 29.78 seconds.

Chloe Cox had a pair of runner-up finishes, taking second in the 100-meter hurdles (18.11) and the 300-meter hurdles (52.79). The Lady Falcons also placed second in the 4x100-meter relay (57.10).

Peyton Kusgen rounded out the team score, placing fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (56.38).

The Blair Oaks boys were led by a pair of fourth-place finishes Thursday: Trinity Scott in the 400-meter dash (59.28) and Jacob Ferrell in the javelin (115 feet, 2 inches).

Scott placed in three events, adding a fifth-place finish in the long jump (16-7) and an eighth-place finish in the 200 (26.47).

Other top-8 finishers for the Falcons include Adam McCauley taking fifth in the 1,600-meter run (5:07.49), Corbin Bonnett placing eighth in the shot put (34-10) and Kole Rackers taking eighth in the javelin (96-7).
