Blair Oaks, Fatima each land five on all-district team

After winning its first district title since 2012, the Blair Oaks baseball team had five players named to the Class 3 District 9 all-district team.

The Fatima Comets also had five players earn all-district honors, while Eugene had four all-district players.

Falcons Ryan Paschal, Austin Herigon and Jason Rackers all made the first team. Jordan Hair was named to the second team while Thomas Verslues was an honorable mention.

Blair Oaks was the top seed in the district tournament, defeating fourth-seeded Dixon 5-2 and second-seeded Fatima 10-0 on the way to the title.

Will Robertson and Tony Swarthout earned first-team honors for the Comets. Hunter Hennier and Logan Bexten made the second team while Jonathon Backes was named an honorable mention.

For Eugene, Chase Dickerson made the first team. Mason Kirkweg, Brent Adrian and Corey Love were all named to the second team.
