Boys Basketball: Hallsville 79, S. Callaway 58

COLUMBIA - The Hallsville Indians used a dominant first quarter Sunday to pull away early to a 79-58 win against the South Callaway Bulldogs during the Norm Stewart Classic at Columbia College.

Hallsville took a 22-9 lead after one quarter and was ahead 41-30 at halftime. The Indians outscored the Bulldogs 21-13 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 19 points heading into the fourth quarter.

Blake Parker led South Callaway with a game-high 22 points. Dylan Lepper and Kaden Helsel each scored 10 points. Helsel also had a game-high six steals.

South Callaway (0-2) hosts Montgomery County today.
