There were plenty of awards from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association to go around Tuesday for the Lincoln track and field teams.
Javan Gray was named the MIAA men's track co-athlete of the week, Ryan Brown was picked the MIAA men's field co-athlete of the week and Rene Medley was tabbed the MIAA women's track co-athlete of the week.
Gray set three of the top times in NCAA Division II on Saturday at the Mizzou Open in Columbia. Gray won the 200-meter dash in 20.77 seconds, which is the No. 1 time in the country this season, and he also won the 100-meter dash in 10.41 seconds, which ranks fifth in Division II.
Gray also ran on the Blue Tigers' 4x100-meter relay, which posted a winning time of 40.10 seconds, the fastest in Division II.
Brown posted an automatic-qualifying mark in the triple jump, posting the top distance in Division II with a win at 52 feet, 6 inches. That distance in the second-best in college at any level this spring.
In addition, Brown also won the long jump with a leap of 24-9.25, which is sixth-best in Division II.
Medley posted three automatic-qualifying times at Saturday's meet, and came away with three wins as well.
Her times of 11.42 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 23.56 seconds in the 200-meter dash both rank second in Division II this season. She also ran on the Blue Tigers' 4x100, which posted a time of 45.01 seconds, the top time so far this season in Division II.
The Lincoln track teams compete Saturday in the Darrel Gourley Open at William Jewell.
