SEDALIA - State Fair Community College freshman forward Ria Kessell had the go-ahead goal last Tuesday in the Roadrunners' 2-1 win against Missouri Valley's JV team.
Kessell (Jefferson City High School) scored in the 42nd minute to give the Roadrunners a 2-1 halftime lead.
The goal was the second this season for Kessell, who also had an assist Sunday in State Fair's 4-2 against Central Methodist's JV team.
Sophomore midfielder Karina Esquivel (Jefferson City High School) scored her first goal of the season last Sunday in the Roadrunners' 7-0 win against John Wood Community College.
State Fair (4-4) plays Saturday at St. Charles Community College.
