PITTSBURGH - Washburn sophomore middle hitter Allison Maxwell finished with seven kills Thursday in the Ichabods' 25-21, 25-20, 25-17 win against Wingate in the NCAA Division II Tournament quarterfinals.
Maxwell (Blair Oaks High School) has 377 kills this season, which leads the team, and has 74 kills in six postseason matches. Maxwell also had four block assists and three digs in the win.
Washburn (33-4), the No. 5 seed in the Elite Eight, will play top-seeded Tampa at 5:30 p.m. today in the semifinals. The match will be available to watch on wusports.com.
