ATCHISON, Kan. - Central Methodist junior Elliot Knernschield finished in the top 15 on Saturday in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championships.
Knernschield (Helias High School) placed 14th out of 123 runners, clocking a time of 27:55.08 in the 8K race. He received All-Heart honorable mention honors.
Central Methodist finished sixth out of 12 teams with 146 points. Benedictine won the conference championship with 76 points.
Junior Joe Bruemmer (Helias High School) finished 42nd with a time of 29:01.59 for the Eagles.
