College Baseball: Robertson homers vs. Seton Hall

OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton sophomore Will Robertson hit his team-leading 11th home run last Friday in the Bluejays' 4-2 win against Seton Hall.

Robertson (Fatima High School) belted a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning to give Creighton a 1-0 lead. He finished 2-for-4 at the plate, adding an RBI double in the seventh to push the Bluejays' lead to 4-3.

Junior Ryan Mantle (Linn High School) also had an RBI single in the fourth for Creighton, going 1-for-3 at the plate.

This season, Robertson has started all 41 games and is second on the Bluejays with a .323 batting average (53-for-164). He leads the team with 51 RBI, which is tied for 29th in NCAA Division I, and he has scored 24 runs.

Mantle has appeared in 36 games and has improved his batting by more than 50 points in the past month, hitting .272 (28-for-103). He has scored 20 runs and has driven in 17.

Creighton (27-15) plays Friday at Villanova.
