ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Lindenwood freshman Tyler Cassmeyer improved his season record to 4-2 with Sunday's 7-2 win against Northwest Missouri.
Cassmeyer (Helias High School) pitched five shutout innings before allowing a pair of unearned runs in the top of the sixth. He finished with four walks and four strikeouts and allowed four hits.
In seven appearances this season, Cassmeyer has made six starts and lowered his ERA to 1.99 with 14 walks and 47 strikeouts in 45 innings.
Lindenwood (12-11) hosts Central Missouri today.
