Allie Heckemeyer of Missouri Southern was named the MIAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Heckemeyer (St. Elizabeth High School) placed second Saturday in the high jump in a meet at Warrensburg. The senior cleared 5-feet, 51/4 inches. Heckemeyer also finished second in the 60-meter hurdles in the meet.
Missouri Southern is back in action Friday through Sunday at the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Pittsburg, Kan.
