FAYETTE - The Lincoln women's cross country team placed fifth Saturday at the CMU Eagle Invitational.
Danielle James led the Blue Tigers with a 32nd-place finish in 22:39.80. Terri Baptiste and Aide Gonzalez finished 42nd and 43rd, respectively, while Kimona Shaw was 47th and Michelle Watson took 48th. Renae Ambersley finished 52nd and Tajera Lawkin placed 55th.
William Woods freshman Harley Nale (Linn High School) placed 19th in 21:00.20.
In the men's race, sophomore Elliott Knernschield (Helias High School) led Central Methodist with a seventh-place time of 19:56.20.
