Missouri's Braxton Burnside was selected as the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Burnside helped the Tigers to a 6-1 record in the past week, tallying a team-high 12 hits during that stretch.
In Saturday's 16-6 win against North Dakota State at the South Florida Tournament, Burnside went 3-for-5 with a program record 10 RBI and a pair of grand slams to go with a two-run triple.
Burnside is only the 12th softball player in NCAA Division I history to hit two grand slams in one game.
Burnside currently has a 12-game hit streak and has a .375 batting average this season with nine home runs and 37 RBI.
