BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The fifth-seeded WWU Lady Owls' season came to an end in Friday night's quarterfinal loss to the No. 4 Lindenwood-Belleville Lady Lynx in the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament.

William Woods University (8-8-2) managed just three shots overall, including only one on goal.

Lindenwood-Belleville (10-6-2) tallied the match's only goal when Blanca Gomez scored off a corner kick in the 77th minute. The Lady Lynx finished with 19 shots, 10 coming on goal, and had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Lindenwood-Belleville now advances to a semifinal clash at top-seeded Park University on Monday. Park roughed up No. 8 seed Harris-Stowe State University in an 8-1 quarterfinal blitz Friday.
