Cole Distler of Central Missouri was named to the All-Central Region Team at third base after helping the Mules to a berth in the NCAA Division II World Series.
Distler (Helias High School) hit .500 for the Mules (42-13) in their four regional games. He had a home run, a double, four singles and three walks.
Distler has started 41 games for the Mules, hitting .331 with seven home runs and 33 RBI to go along with 10 doubles and four triples.
Central Missouri opens World Series play Sunday against Lander in Cary, N.C. It's the first World Series berth for the Mules since 2011.
