Your Opinion: Hawley buckles to McConnell

Dear Editor:

In response to the editors’ view, published Saturday, it’s unfortunate that U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley may suffer political repercussions for having questioned the suitability of the nomination of Neomi Rao to serve on the United States Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C.

If senators ask questions and express concerns during the confirmation process, then buckle when Mitch McConnell tells them to get back in line, why bother to have them?

It’s so interesting that Josh Hawley doesn’t care enough about abortion to stand up to Mitch McConnell.
