Your Opinion: Response to Haslag

Dear Editor:

Mr. Haslag, I did not “decry the assumed ‘hate’ anyone disagreeing with President Trump must feel.” You really should read my letter published 1/6/2019 in which I documented on four websites the hate spewed by leftist Democrats and their minions. If these hate-mongers disagreed with Trump only on issues, then what are the issues other than the wall which Pelosi claims is immoral, that they have a problem with? I stand firm behind my letter published 1/16/19 as my reasons to believe that there is no way anyone, as hard as you may try to convince me, that the animosity the leftist Democrats feel toward Trump is anything but emotional driven hate!

Regarding whether Democrats hate this country, to my knowledge I have never stated that in any of my letters, however in my mind an old adage should be considered “if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, there’s a good chance it’s a duck.” The Democrats have for years been trying to circumvent the Constitution by initiating liberal judge court decisions the sole purpose of which is to bypass the legislative process. This in my mind along with their refusal to protect our nation’s border and to continually propose budget busting socialist reforms in health care should be enough for anyone to question how much Democrats care about our Constitutional Republic. I do not think all Democrats hate this country, but I do believe with all my heart that the Democrats thirst for power is attempting to turn America into a third-world socialist nation with no consideration of historical documentation of the terrible consequences. In my mind this is not hate for our nation, but just no love and respect for our Constitution, Bill of Rights and our historical legacy.
