Dear Editor:
In reference to your 7/10/2018 front page article “Jaycees fair abandons theme amid political concerns” it’s apparent to me and should be to any fair-minded (no pun intended) individual that the rampant anti-Trump bias has infected even the Jaycees Board of Directors.
What’s wrong with the theme “Making it Great Again?” I guess they (the Trump haters) would prefer instead of the word “Great” the word in the theme to be (an antonym) “insignificant” or “little” or “small” or “unimportant” which seems to describe the problem they are attempting to overcome.
I guess I will never understand the small mindedness some of our community leaders who by their apparent need to insert politics into everything seem to be determined to keep our ‘fair’ city in the doldrums.
