Your Opinion: Hacking elections nothing new

Dear Editor:

There is an old saying, "Be Still and Learn."

The good Lord created man with two eyes, two ears and one mouth. There was a reason for this: look and listen twice as much as you talk. The demonstrators that go to town hall meetings to holler, scream and heckle the speaker, they need to shut their mouth, open their ears, listen and learn.

All this talk about Russia hacking the election, and President Trump's people talking to Russia's people is ludicrous. We have hacked their system for years and they have hacked ours.

Under the Clinton and Obama administration we have interfered with other countries' elections. The last election of Israel, Obama sent personal, election consultants and advertisements to Israel.

As for talking to Russia, you bet I would, including North Korea, China, Iran, etc., etc.

In the 1950s-1960s the Special Service, Intel Spies, Moles, any operatives had a saying "Get closer to your enemy than to your friends!" You have to know what they are thinking. Close the door before the horse gets out.

As far as Russia wanting Trump over Clinton is a bunch of Bull. Trump is an unknown to them. Secretary Clinton and President Obama, they know. Just look at the Iran Nuclear Deal or Clinton singing off on the deal that gave Russia ownership in the biggest uranium supply in the world. Russia could play Obama and Clinton like a fine-tuned violin. They would not say ISIS terrorist, they said ISEL, which includes Israel.

President Trump's speech was a great one. It was not politics, it was about the country and the people. It was about security, jobs, education, health care, economy, military, infrastructure, things that matter to the people, to our country, the United States of America. Be still and learn.
