Dear Editor:
I couldn't agree more with Ms. Greenfield's letter published 8/19/17 in the News Tribune.
It was unbelievably ironic that the News Tribune had a cartoon twice the size of her letter that one could not help but see if her letter were read. The cartoon to which I refer was of President Trump spray painting "not my president" on President Lincoln's statue.
I wonder how many of the "Rules for Radicals" were being used as a reference in the creation of this cartoon. Was it "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon" or "Keep the pressure on. Never let up"?
Whatever the cartoonist had in mind with this ridiculous cartoon attempting to appease the leftist radicals; why is the News Tribune being complicit in printing this destructive garbage.
I don't think any logically thinking fair-minded American patriot can deny that the media in this country has become a megaphone for the radical left. The many "Rules for Radicals" the media uses to promote this fascist agenda seems to be those two listed in the above paragraph plus: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag." and "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition." and "If you push a negative (fake news) it will push through and become a positive."
I too, sadly think it is too late to save America. I and all those who voted for Donald Trump saw him as our one last hope to save our great nation from socialism and third-world status. Because of the war against him by the "deep state," which I define as Rino Republicans (most damaging to him because it's his only line of defense), the Democrat party being supported and protected by the liberal media and Obama/Clinton government appointees, seems to be winning. How it will come out, God only knows.
Our country was created by the will of God and I just hope after giving us this last chance to return to the blessings and freedoms He bestowed on us through our Constitution and Bill of Rights, that he will not abandon us to the destructive forces at hand.
