Autopsy results of a body found Monday in Fulton are not yet available to the public, according to an official with the Boone County Medical Examiner's office.
The body, believed by Fulton police to be missing man Carl DeBrodie, was found in a storage unit. Police Chief Steve Myers said the remains were in an advanced state of decay, and it's up to the medical examiner to determine the person's identity and cause of death.
Because the autopsy is part of an open investigation, autopsy results won't be released anytime soon, according to the medical examiner's office.
Myers said Thursday the police department is continuing its investigation.
"We've got some other search warrants we're working on today," he said.
He added no one has been eliminated as suspect, but he warned against listening to speculation.
"There's so many rumors out there that are false, including pretty much anything you see on Facebook," Myers said.
