U.S. 54 ramps in Miller County to close for resurfacing next week

The eastbound and westbound exit ramps at the U.S. 54/Missouri 52 interchange and U.S. 54/Missouri 87 interchange in Miller County will close periodically from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Sept. 29 for resurfacing.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), message boards are in place in the area to inform drivers of the closure and guide motorists to alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.

The paving phase of the resurfacing project begin Aug. 22 on U.s. 54 in Miller County.

Motorists should expect lane closures and minor delays through the duration of the work. Once work is complete, temporary pavement markings will be in place until striping can be completed, MoDOT said.

This project also includes paving westbound U.S. 54 from Old Tuscumbia Road near Eldon to Missouri 242 in Lake Ozark, according to MoDOT.

The project is expected to be completed by winter of 2016.
