Thanksgiving Closings

Because of Thursday's Thanksgiving Day holiday, federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed, except for law enforcement and emergency services.

Most government offices also will be closed Friday, including the Missouri state, Cole County, Jefferson City and Holts Summit governments.

Jefftran buses won't run Thursday or Friday, and parking meters will not be enforced on either day.

There will be no state driver's license examinations.

Most of the state Revenue Department contract offices in the state will be closed both days.

The State Archives, 600 W. Main St., also will be closed Thursday through Saturday.

The U.S. Postal Service will operate on a holiday schedule, with no regular mail deliveries or collections Thursday.

The Missouri River Regional Library will be closed both Thursday and Friday. The Daniel Boone Regional Library in Callaway and Boone counties, and the Heartland Regional Library in Miller and Maries counties will be closed only on Thursday.

Republic Services will be closed Thursday, and trash and recycling will be delayed one day.

The yard-waste drop-off site on Southridge Drive will be closed Thursday.

NO PUBLICATION

The News Tribune offices will be closed Thursday, and we will not publish a Thursday newspaper. Office hours and newspaper publication will resume Friday morning.
