Heng's Gym has been doing some heavy lifting, moving the 24-hour membership gym across town to a new location on Jefferson City's east side.
Formerly located at 2215 Missouri Blvd., Heng's Gym will open its new location officially this week at 905 Eastland Drive, Suites E and F.
Owner Anchana Heng said his decision to move was based on the Missouri Boulevard building owner's decision to sell and potentially higher demand on the east side of town.
"The east end doesn't have any gym on that side, so I figured that would probably be the best move, because this other side is kind of saturated with gyms," Heng said.
Heng's Gym is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for members at a cost of $31 a month with no contract.
Heng said the most notable part of the move to him was the tremendous amount of help members of the gym provided him when transporting the equipment across town.
"I have some great friends who are willing to do whatever it takes to help me out, and that's one good thing about a gym," he said.
