Dear Editor:
Sitting sipping a beer, contemplating life's problems, with a couple of chums, we could not determine why the Memorial Day ceremony at the Jefferson City National Cemetery does not get more attention.
It's a historical site and a super-appropriate setting for honoring the real heroes that gave it all. But neither the media, city, county or state pays much attention to this event. But then neither does the entire nation.
So enjoy your barbecues and sleep safely in your beds because rough men have stood and stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would harm you.
