ST. LOUIS - The Helias Crusaders jumped out to a big lead and held on for a 61-52 victory against Whitfield on Friday night.
Helias went up 22-12 after one quarter, extended the advantage to 34-22 at halftime and took a 47-36 edge into the final quarter.
Isiah Sykes paced the winners with 19 points, Hale Hentges chipped in 17 and Collin Caywood had 16.
Helias (17-6) hosts Hannibal tonight for Senior Night.
Helias won the JV game 64-32.
Weston Porter led the way with 16 points and Alex Brandt had 14 as the Crusaders improved to 14-7 on the year.
