JC man placed on probation in rape case

A Jefferson City man was placed on five years supervised probation after pleading guilty to an amended charge in a rape case.

Samuel Marshall, 18, pleaded guilty to one count of tampering with physical evidence with the purpose of impairing the investigation in this case.

He had been charged with first-degree statutory rape for an incident which occurred in November 2013 involving a female under the age of 15.
