Franks' 69 leads Blair Oaks to small-school title in Helias Invitational

Kory Franks led the field with a 69 to help lead the Blair Oaks Falcons to a first-place finish in the Small School Division at the Helias Invitational at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club on Monday.

Tanner Elder was the runner-up after shooting a 71 to help pace Blair Oaks, which shot a 308 as a team. Jake Vanrozelen (82) and Corbin Singer (86) both finished in the top 10 for the Falcons.

Sullivan finished second at 341, while Southern Boone (350), Dixon (365), Fatima (374), St. James (411), Linn (414), New Bloomfield (417) and Russellville (422) rounded out the rest of the nine-team field.

Walker Kesterson (70) and Brayden Watts (86) both finished in the top 10 to pace Southern Boone.

In the Large School Division, Rock Bridge finished first with a 311, while Jefferson City was second at 347 and Helias was third at 348.

Hickman (349), Moberly (359), Smith-Cotton (360), Battle (367) and Marshall (381) rounded out the rest of the eight-team field.

Jack Knoesel and Matt Echelmeier both shot a 75 to lead the field and help lead Rock Bridge to a first-place finish.

Gabe Trowbridge shot an 81 to lead Jefferson City, while Andrew Hansen (84), Davin Anderson (88) and James Spath (94) all helped pace the Jays.

Matt Branch led Helias with an 82, while Clay Carroll (83), Carson Mueller (91) and Andrew Schaumburg (92) helped pace the Crusaders.
