ASHLAND, Mo. - The Southern Boone Eagles rolled to a 6-1 victory Tuesday night against the Fatima Comets in a Class 1 sectional contest.
With the victory, the top-ranked Eagles (27-1) advance to Saturday's quarterfinal against John F. Kennedy (13-12-1) in St. Louis. John F. Kennedy was receiving votes in the final regular-season state coaches poll.
The start time for the quarterfinal has not yet been announced.
John F. Kennedy moved on to Saturday's quarterfinal with a 1-0 victory in overtime against Christian.
Fatima ends its season at 18-9.
