Donations sought for care packages

As part of Operation Bugle Boy 2013, members of the Jefferson City community can support U.S. troops by donating care package items or by making monetary donations. These donations will be placed under a patriotically decorated Christmas tree - called the Patriot Tree - at Thursday's dinner program.

The following is a list of suggested items: batteries (AA and AAA), dried beef, candy, cookies, deodorant, DVDs, magazines, nuts, paperback books, powdered individual drinks, razors, shampoo, single-serving snacks and trail mix.

Donations can be dropped of at any Central Bank location or mailed to Operation Bugle Boy, c/o Pete and Lorraine Adkins, 1435 Satinwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.

The group is also selling $10 copies of Operation Merry Christmas, a compilation of holiday and patriotic music by Jefferson City students.
