KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Missouri baseball team got plenty of offense Saturday and managed a doubleheader split with Tennessee.

Missouri let the first game slip away as Tennessee rallied with two runs in the bottom of the ninth to take a 7-6 victory.

The Tigers led 6-5 entering the ninth but the Volunteers got a pair of runs and won the game on a single by Pierce Bily.

The ninth inning ruined Missouri's comeback. The Tigers trailed 5-4, but scored a run in the eighth on a sacrifice fly and fielder's choice to take a 6-5 lead. But the lead didn't hold up as Tennessee (13-3, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) outhit Missouri 16-8 in the game.

Missouri led 3-0 after three innings. Tennessee rallied with two in the fourth and three in the sixth to take a 5-4 lead.

Dillon Everett, Michael McGraw and Case Munson had two hits each for Missouri. Scott Price led the Volunteers with four hits.

Breckin Williams took the loss, allowing two runs in 1/3 inning.

Missouri pounded out 16 hits to take the nightcap 14-6.

The Tigers led 12-1 after four innings and never looked back.

Dane Opel, Dylan Kelly, Josh Lester and Logan Person all had three hits for Missouri. Kelly had five RBI including a three-run home run. Lester and Price also homered for Missouri.
