The weather has caused schedule changes to several area sporting events.
The Lincoln softball team will now play a pair of non-conference games against MIAA schools Emporia State and Missouri Western today in St. Joseph. The Emporia State game will start at 1 p.m. followed by the game against Missouri Western at 3 p.m.
Lincoln had previously been scheduled to play six games against teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, but the tournament was canceled.
The Blue Tigers' home tennis match against Northeastern (Okla.) State scheduled for today has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.
The Lincoln track team was scheduled to go to the Missouri Relays on Friday, but will instead go to the Washington University mini-meet in St. Louis.
The Lincoln baseball team will play a single game against the Missouri Southern Lions at 3 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Field, followed by a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon. Those games were originally scheduled to be played in Joplin.
The weather also has forced changes to area high schools. Jefferson City High School's golf match against Waynesville on Thursday was postponed. No makeup date has been announced.
Helias' track meet at Union on Thursday was canceled while the girls soccer game scheduled for today has been moved to April 1.
