Desire for more family time drives business startup

Richard Busch, owner of JC Auto Connections, goes over the finer points of a just-purchased vehicle with customer and niece Chelsea Busch. After years of working at area dealerships, Busch has opened his own lot called JC Auto Connections at 1710 Missouri Blvd.

For Richard Busch, the early success of his business JC Auto Connection may signal an upturn in the automobile industry and economy in general.

Since the May 15 inception of his used car dealership, Busch has already overseen the sale of several cars and remains confident for the upcoming weeks.

Despite the difficulties of establishing a new business, Busch's satisfaction in working with others and innate determination motivated him to launch JC Auto Connection in a less-than-favorable business climate.

"I'm always up for a challenge," he said.

The creation of JC Auto Connection largely resulted from Busch's desire to spend more time with family.

Married with one son, Busch hopes a self-determined schedule will enable him to not only enjoy more hours at home but to also introduce his son to his passion of working with cars.

"My son can come and have fun, not be uptight," he said.

Citing customer service as a crucial component of his business, Busch attempts to ensure the dependability of his inventory by making any necessary repairs before offering the cars for sale. Busch also emphasized his integrity in his sale of quality vehicles.

"If I sell a car and they have an issue, I'm fixing it," he said.

Though car buyers may not always see a vehicle they prefer on the lot, Busch urged them to still inquire about other models.

"Check with JC Auto Connection. We can get it," he said.

Busch also plans on opening an onsite detailing shop in the near future.
