Modern Litho recently broke ground in Jefferson City on a 23,000-square-foot expansion.

Jefferson City's Modern Litho is diving into a major expansion. The additional 23,000 square feet will house manufacturing and warehouse floor space, and will increase the building's footprint to nearly 75,000 square feet.

"We continue to experience growth in our local, regional and national business segments and will use this space to increase production capacity and create additional workflow efficiencies," said Darrell Moore, Modern Litho president.

Modern Litho and Brown Printing are celebrating 75 years of customer service. The local business delivers services ranging from production and mailing for variable direct mail and digital print marketing materials.

To celebrate the 75-year mark, the company is undergoing a total brand makeover and is preparing for the addition of presses, bindery equipment and personnel to accommodate its growing body of work.

"Since 2012, we have added 10 full-time positions to our roster, and we've asked ourselves, when is the "right' time to make this investment? We believe that time is now," Moore noted.
