Woman disarms man who forced way inside Mo. home

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A woman disarmed a 62-year-old man who police say shot into a St. Louis home and forced his way inside.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/WOTQxz) the man shot through the front door three times and kicked it open at 11:15 p.m. Friday after the home's occupants refused to let him in.

Two 29-year-old women, a 34-year-old man and two infants were inside the home at the time of the incident.

Police say one of the women and the man ran out the back door and called 911 while the other woman struggled with the gunman.

The second woman sustained cuts on her head and hands in the struggle but managed to wrest the gun away from the intruder.

The man ran away, but police arrested him nearby.
