The crowds were small Monday due to the cold weather. But those who came out to the 2013 Governor's Inaugural Parade seemed to enjoy the festivities.

The parade featured all the statewide elected officials, many riding in vehicles, but some walked the route and shook hands with bystanders along the parade route.

Also joining the parade were 10 Missouri marching bands, as well as mascots from the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, University of Missouri Tigers and the Budweiser Clydesdales.

All ages came out, and each had there own reasons for showing up.

The Walker family came to hear their son, Ryan, who was playing in the Hazelwood West Marching Band.

"We never miss anything he's marching in," said mom Connie, who along with her daughter and husband had brought chairs and plenty of blankets to watch as the band came by at the intersection of High and Madison streets.

"We were just surprised more people aren't out here," Connie laughed.
