Lindsenbardt advances for Helias

LIBERTY, Mo. - Dylan Linsenbardt is the lone Helias Crusader to advance to the semifinals at the Class 3 District 4 Wrestling Tournament at Liberty North High School.

Linsenbardt, a senior at 113 pounds, won by fall in 1:06 against Clayton Fenzi of Belton in the quarterfinals to advance. Linsenbardt received a first-round bye.

The other eight Crusaders - Slater Schrimpf (106), Aaron Mankin (132), Austin Schnieders (145), Zak Stokes (160), Clayton Rockers (170), Nate Jones (182), Alex Schwinke (195) and Matt Peppard (220) all remain alive in the wrestlebacks.

After the opening day, Helias is in 10th place with 19 points. Platte County leads with 69.5, with Kearney second in the 14-team event with 69.

Action resumes at 10 a.m. today. The top four finishers in each weight class advance to the Class 3 state tournament, which begins Thursday at Mizzou Arena.
