Helias finishes seventh in district golf

MOBERLY - The Helias Crusaders finished seventh at the Class 4 District 5 Tournament on Monday at Heritage Hills Golf Course.

The Crusaders shot a 362 as a team and were led by Austin Smith and Brandon Tomblinson, who tied for 21st as each carded an 89. Both qualify as individuals to the sectional tournament Monday in Innsbrook.

Other Helias finishers included Jack Blaise (25th, 91), Nick Rehagen (28th, 93) and Carson Mueller (43rd, 112).

Eldon finished 11th with a 436. Braden Atkinson finished with an 87 to qualify for sectionals as an individual.

Other Eldon finishers included Tanner Atteberry (45th, 113), Bailey Myers (48th, 116), Torryn Shurts (50th, 130) and Rebecca Armstrong (52nd, 135).

School of the Osage finished 10th with a 424. Finishers included Skyler Slack (36th, 100), Matthew Lehenbauer (38th, 102), Zachary Curran (46th, 116) and Austin Hansen (47th, 117).

Hannibal won the event with a 310. Marshall was second with a 333.
