Thomas becomes MU all-time leader in strikeouts

BATON ROUGE, La. - Chelsea Thomas became the all-time wins leader at Missouri as the 12th-ranked Tigers notched a 6-1 win over No. 11 LSU on Friday night.

Thomas (16-4) threw a two-hitter, striking out 13 and giving up just one earned run, to win her 103rd game for Missouri.

Nicole Hudson rapped out three hits for the winners, while Jenna Marston had a pair of hits. Kelsea Roth had one hit and two RBI and Angela Randazzo chipped in with one hit and one RBI.

Missouri improved to 25-6 overall and 10-5 in Southeastern Conference play, while LSU dropped to 36-10 and 11-5 SEC.

The second game in the three-game series between the schools is set for 6 p.m. today.
